Classes for the youngest DINKY DANCERS
Active Polish Community invites you to DINKY DANCERS which are activities for the youngest combined with dancing, fun and learning English. This is an opportunity for your child's rapid development.
Classes are held every Wednesday and start at 10am at the Hightown Community Center, Luton, LU2 0JD. They are conducted by a qualified instructor and choreographer of modern dance (who has got a double diploma) with several years of previous work experience with youths, adults and children.
The course is intended for children aged 2-4 years. It consists of 7 lessons, in which babies and their parents / guardians perform activities together, but also have fun, sing, play instruments and learn about objects and dance. By taking an active part in the lesson, parents learn how to entertain their child when they have something else to do and how make it busy by means other than television.
Before the start, all the exercises are explained in detail by an instructor /conducting person, interspersed with English words and thanks to childrens' divisible attention, they learn the language through play.
Children age is 2-4 years, however, a child who does not fall within that range (for example, is 1.5 years old or 4.5 years old) is also welcome. In the case of considerably high interest, a division bracket will be increased.
Course price is Ł25 and it covers only classes. On top of that, a free membership (normal fee Ł15), certificates, and free T-shirt will be given to your child. For bookings please contact Mrs Karolina on 07928980060 or by email: karolina@activepolish.co.uk

Polish band in Luton - a post from the Active Polish Community Forum
Welcome all visitors of Active Polish Communityforum, my name is Martin and I live in Luton. Besides working, I play bass quitar and I get a lot of pleasure of out if. In the past, when I was living in Poland, I had the pleasure to play during various events with a band, whose members, guided by various decisions in life simply went separate ways. Since then, I "feel the blues" in my veins, and I've been thinking about creating a band in Luton, which would be serving our great community in this city by reaching out songs from the repertoire of known Polish and foreign performers. Playing commercial music (such as rock, ska, reggae, etc..) would certainly gain popularity and recognition not only among the Poles.
I am looking for a team of people playing: drums, guitar (one or two), keyboard (harmony) and vocals (female or male). I invite all interested in this subject, both experienced and amateurs to contact us... More can be found on the Forum
